All the incumbents won in the November 5 election except at-large councilman Brian Jefferies, who was knocked out by Judi Brown Clark. Jeffries' last campaign finance report (10/21/13-11/25/13) shows some 11th hour desperation. $13,275 in contributions were received, more than in all the rest of the campaign. $6,000 of it came from Jeffries and his wife.

For mayor, 9863 voters voted for Virg Bernero and 3863 voted for Harold Leeman, Jr. Through October 20, Bernero spent $68,700.65, or $6.97 per vote. Leeman spent $2372.95, or $.61 per vote. Full election results can be found on the City Clerk's website.

Note that two $500 contributions were received after the election. Full detail on contributions is here.

The Bernero campaign spent $100,205.72 in 2013 (detail here). $44,454.34 of that was paid to individuals for purposes variously identified as "Contract Employee", "Consulting" and  "Consultation/Research/Survey/Sign". Some of that money appears to have been passed on to Bernero's favored city council candidates, and that could violate campaign finance law. Jessica Yorko and Tina Houghton each got $1000 and Kathie Dunbar got $2000. Here is a summary of Bernero campaign expenditures:

Consulting $44,454.34
Food and Coffee $7,441.68
Auto Expense $4,605.26
Rent $4,400.00
Other $39,304.44

Total:

$100,205.72

As of 11/25/13, Bernero has a balance of $41,652.18 in his campaign account. Can we please stop giving him money?

Jessica York has yet (as of 12/10/13) to submit her report for the 10/21/13-11/25/13 period, which was due 12/5/13. She was also late with the report for the 8/27/13-10/20/13 period, and had to pay a $300 late fee. (The 20131021-20131125 report was finally received by the clerk 12/13/13.)

Finally, organized labor didn't do so well in this election. In her loss to Yorko in the 4th ward, Chong-Anna Canfora took in a total of $29,200 and spent all but $2,162. Over half of the contributions - $17,600 - were from union PACs and union officials. She got 1,974 votes, so her cost per vote was $13.70.

Campaign finance reports for all the candidates can be found here.
