Each month, the City of Lansing deducts union dues from represented employees and transmits them to the unions. In a Freedom of Information Act request, I asked for the most recent document with which union dues and fees were transmitted to the unions by the City. From the documents, I compiled these totals:
$39,373.65 times 12 equals $472,483.80 a year. That is an average of $582 a year for each represented employee. To see the documents themselves, which show the dues deduction for each employee, click on the union name in the table above. |
